Rossim, what you propose will only further dilute the Jewish population without giving them the same rights as Muslims. Your standard for Israel- a secular state for Israelis- is much stricter than your standard for Palestine- not strictly Islamic. This is an unfair double standard.

To have equality, you can propose one of the following:
1) Israel as a not strictly Jewish state; and Palestine as a not strictly Islamic state
OR
2) Israel as a secular state where Jews, Christians and Muslims have equal rights; and Palestine as a secular state where Jews, Christians, and Muslims have equal rights.

Israel is already much like (2); proclaiming it a "Jewish state" would have only symbolic meaning. Making Palestine anything other than a strictly Islamic state would be hard, and bringing it to (2) is practically impossible.

Personally, as a secular Jew, I prefer option (1). That way Palestine can be like the other Muslim countries, while Israel would be slightly more Jewish.
