Well, imagine that mexico and indonesia have launched full scale wars with the US and Australia respectively. Do you honestly think that your governments would do nothing if these states were then to go on to develop nuclear arms or chemical weapons. Get real.
Besides, my Muslim (Israeli) neighbours (including my adopted brother)are none to keen for bloodthirsty regimes like Syria to have these weapons - after all, chemical/nuclear warheads don`t recognise ethnicity.
