Well, let`s deal with the personal attacks first. I certainly confess to being ignorant on many subjects. However, I was unaware that either the state of Israel or Halacha classifies Jews as more or less.....perhaps my critics mean to say that the Ethiopians are "better" Jews than I Which since they have never met me and do not even know if I am Jewish at all is a curious claim.

Regarding my comment. Those who read carefully will note that the text introduction to the movie unlike the movie, mentions "people" brought from Ethiopia...not "Jews". I suspect there is a reason for this. For better or worse, most of those who have come since 1991 do not come under the law of return and are required to undergo conversions. They are relatives and descendants of Jews. Don`t take my word for it, ask officials


HOWEVER, my main point which most of the comments seem to confirm was that this is a sloppy piece of photo journalism.
