For sometime the Haaretz Channel 10 videos don`t work on my PC either in IE or Firefox. I get the commercial at the start then the screen goes blank. Can someone help.
I had the privilege of teaching a class of Ethiopians at the now defunct Israel jewelry school over 13 years ago. They were lovely respectful people. It has saddened me to see the younger generation of Ethiopians change into the stereo types of American blacks we see in the movies. This is not their fault. Israel is not interested in them. The huge Russian Aliya at the same time, full of well educated professionals. Has made the state lazy in regard to these people. Yest unlike the Russians the youger ones speak Hebrew amongst themselves, and want to be part of Israeli society. Their treatment is a disgrace. And as for them being Jewish or not. The "Who is a Jew " debate only seems to apply to the Ethiopians, not to the Russians, who no nothing of Judaism. |
