What a bizarre film. If I didn`t know better I would think it was prepared as anti-Israel propogande.
It is full of inaccuracies: 75,000 JEWS have not come from Ethiopia. Most of those who have come since 1991 are not recognized by either the rabbinate or the state as Jews. The neighborhoods they live in are not "segregated", unless Israel law has changed recently to permit racial segregation.
Other information is not given any context:
`Only` 44% pass matriculation exams...what is the figure for Arab Israelis; Bedouin? For the population at large? What was the figure for Ethiopians in 2000?
Doesn`t Ethiopia have an incredibly high rate of domestic violence among the general population?
Nevermind, you convinced me that the Ethiopian aliyah was a failure and that Israel is to blame. Well done!
