What I appreciate over here in Thailand is that I can walk into any temple, anywhere, anytime without feeling I am encroaching on some else?s hallowed turf, and therefore unwelcome. Buddhist temples are public spaces. That seems to be the case with the mosques I have seen here too.

Churches in the West however have lost an element of that public inclusiveness, which makes them less accessible. I don?t know about synagogues. I would love to go into one. This outreach programme sounds excellent
