Read these notes... a majority of Olim, are insulted by your double talk. I too can go into the details of my attempts to get beyond the local code of life `lo lihiot frier`...meaning `screw the other guy if you want to get ahead` Its a dog eat dog country, and the public servants in beaurocracies lead the way.
I`m sure that most of the few positive statements are from religious olim. I believe that they do have a mostly positive experience. They`re aliyah has support in community that non-religious dont. They have a different perspective than we. One smarty, Eli tells us to have a Jewish perspective, even if we dont earn as much salary in Israel...another of the wonderful features of life in Eretz Yisrael. The cost of living is the same as the US, but the government expects us to live with one 1/5 the salary |
