The Dutch government have already ensured that the Ann Frank tree`s legacy will survive by growing cuttings from the original tree.
All this sale does is line the pockets of someone (wno admittedly should have done the sale in Euro`s not dollars) when the person buying the conker would be better to spend the money on today`s children whether in Darfur or the Gaza Strip.
Which would be a far better legacy to Ann Frank don`t you think?
