Erekat as other Palestinian leaders have said many things, one of the most significant one of which has been his/their refusal to recognize teh Jewish people as a people and the state of Israel as the state of the Jewish people, the nation-state of a people proclaimed based on the natural rights of peoples to determine their own selves and based on UN resolutions to establish the Jewish state of Israel as the nation-state of this people.
This is Erekat, one of several significat leaders of the Palestinians who demand of Israel a whole bunch of things but negate the very existence of it as a nation-state. |
