The interesting line in the article is that "In Israel 24 percent of the population is considered poor, but about half is not Jewish." The qusestion therefore is whether or not the Jews in the States fare worse than citizens who are not Jews. Or is the article advocating special treatment for poverty stricken Jews??? And by burying the the true poverty rate of Israel in the article, is the writer implying that the poverty rate in Israel of non-Jews doesn`t really matter???
