The electric car will only a reality in 10-20 years time once the battery problems will be solved. I am not saying this, it`s ALL the major car makers.
In a year, Toyota will launch their new Prius model, it has a new battery and gasoline engine that will give the car more power and "only electric" autonomy of up to 40 km.
The gasoline consumption will be 2.5 L per 100 km!!! The price will be the same as today, so it`s only up to the Customs Authorities to reduce our already gigantic Customs Duties to make the car accesible to larger segment of the population. Emissions of the car will also be half of that of today`s Prius which are already the lowest, by far, of any car in Israel, including the Smart. |
