| The people of Gaza must be weary of the struggle with Israel and they naturally focus their attention upon the leadership. I would bet that no matter how unpopular Hamas becomes, they will always be preferred to Israel. It is Israel that denies the Palestinians a homeland and continues west bank expansion at the cost of peace. As long as this course does not cause Israel any undue pain, then it will not change. Hamas has offered ceasefires and extended truces (10 year) in the past year, but the offers were ignored by Israel. People in Gaza and elsewhere should wonder why this happened and was ignored by the press. |
