| Thanks scallywag, after having read the article, I would make the (careful) assumption that Mr. von Marschall has a rather friendly opinion towards Israel and her policies over the past decades. "Der Tagesspiegel", by the way, also doesn`t have the reputation of being very unfriendly with Israel in most of its articles... To be honest, in order to impress me,his article was a bit too unbalanced (who knows, maybe Walt and Mearsheimers book was a bit too unbalanced either...). But fact is: If Mr.von Marshall writes, that one (I assume he means politicians with that) would be able to criticize Israel at any time both in Israel and the U.S., then that is simply not the truth. In Israel: YES In the U.S.: NO Or when have we heard the last (real) critical comment by a (leading) U.S. politician on Israels policies...??? 15 years ago (George Bush sen.)....???? |
