| A very important option that Israel intends to keep open is an attack upon Irans nuclear program. Iran and her allies realize this and they will certainly be ready to respond to such an attack. This joint response, coming from Iran, Syria, and Hizbollah would certainly be bad news for Israel, in spite of their having no nukes. Therefor it is in Israels interest to seperately attack Hizbollah and Syria and to "neutralize" their military capabilities in order to keep the Iran attack option viable. It is in the interest of Hizbollah and Syria to avoid war for the time being. You can expect to see more Israeli attacks upon Syria and Hizbollah to facilitate this process. |
