It is not always pleasant to be able to say "I told you so."

The great danger of nuclear weapons falling into the hands of terrorists has not been some theoretically possible "Iranian" bomb, or some flight of fancy "Syrian" bomb, but the very real bombs possessed by Pakistan.

I do not know what sort of safeguards such as command disable and permissive action links, if any, are incorporated into the Pakistani weapons.

The situation in Pakistan is very confused right now, with the Afghan Taliban - the primary funding and arms source for it being the Pakistani intelligence sources - has become involved in fighting against the government. There are several insurrections going on in Baluchistan and Swat. The middle class has become very upset and the last two Prime Ministers - neither of which is a very savory individual are beginning to mobilize their forces.

Anything can happen. The least likely is a stabile, competent government.
