I come from a secular family, but a well respected one from Umm al Fahm. I am an Arab and I am a Muslim and I am an Israeli, a coplete contradiction that I have come to peace with. I am a 29 yo student at Haifa University. I decided to comment on some posts I see here by people who are not Arab or Israeli, and comment on Israel calling it a racist country. Life here is diffifult for all even more as Arab women but I cant say Israel is racist. Israel is the only country I have lived in, and it the only place I know. When I see Arabs being killed by soldiers, it hurts because it we are the same family. But they want to destroy our home. They call us Zionists too because we want to live in peace with Israelis. Even in our town people are distressed with Palestinians in Gaza and Hezballah. They killed many of us Arabs during the war, and they always look for trouble with Israel. I did not see you Rita complaining about that.
