You are forgetting one thing. Israel depends and the US and Europe for its survival, and the more Israel refuses to compromise and tackle the core issues in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, the more resentment is created in the US and Europe. Eventually, the majority of the people will not only lose patience with Israel, but they will have negative emotions concerning Israel, when this happens, international support for Israel and the Palestinian occupation will fade away and Israel will be in a lot of trouble.
In the long run, avoiding the core issues such as illegal settlements in the West bank, the status of Jerusalem, and Palestinian refugees is only worsening the security of Israel and making them out to be a bunch of racists in the eyes of the rest of the world. Seeing as Israel depends on the rest of the world for its existence, this is obviously not a good thing for Israel.
