Title:Sheetrit`s position???

Rather poor journalism. I read the column and was left with absolutely no idea what Sheetrit`s motivation/justifications are for his views. Strongly suggest this article be ammended with some explanatory text.

That being said... both stated positions (no right of return and no Aliya for "lost tribes") sound wrong.

1. The right of return is in Israel`s best interests. Why cancel a law that is in the national interest and which the majority of Israelis and jews worldwide support?
2. The Jews who define themseles as members of lost tribes, such as the Bnai Menasheh, convert to Judaism before or as part of making Aliya. As a result, regardless of the questions around their history they are 100% Jewish as they are going through the Aliyah process. Gerim are 100% Jewish, and Sheetrit`s position seems to suggest that they be treated somehow less than that.
