We have a moral duty to call the Armenian genocide by its name, the genocide of Ukrainian peasants -no matter how antisemitic, no matter how they collaborated in the slaughter of Jews during the Shoah and in all times-, the genocide in Darfur, Bosnia and Rwanda. The term genocide is the correct term in all these tragedies. And it doesn`t take a iota away from the uniqueness of the biggest of them all, and the cruelest, most planned, modern and industrial of them all, the Shoah. Precisely because of that, Israel should not consider what Putin will or won`t say, will or won`t do: It is our moral obligation just as the whole world`s. And Yushchenko should be demanded by Israel to recognize the Chmielnicki massacres of the 17th century, thye Pogroms, and the direct collaboration in the genocide of Jews by nazi Einsatzkommandos in the Shoah by Ukrainian criminals, and their role in the death camps, which is bigger than that of any other nationality except Germans and Austrians. |
