| Always look at the negative instead of making the most of the positive. Pulling out of Gaza was a HUGE step and more than the Pals have ever done for peace. Period. You can argue occupation till your blue in the face. Only reason Israel was in that territory is from war (based upon underlying hatred) that the Pals and Arabs brought against Israel, many times, and lost. "Occupation" is a convenient justification for the pals to do whatever they want, while ignoring the fact that peaceful protest (socially, diplomatically, etc) has always achieved more than the indiscriminate means they use. Just look at Ghandi, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King. The Pals have no one like that. And, of course Israel is going to maintain control of the airspace and shores. Israelis would not like either to be used for more bombings and rocket attacks that occur on a daily basis. The pals get one step at a time, and look what they did with the land, turned it into a rocket base. |
