Just quickly the main points of the Saudi- peace plan:
Israel is required to withdraw from all terri- tories it seized in 1967 (West Bank, Golan, East Jerusalem) and there has to be a "just solution" for the Palestinian refugee problem, which for most Arabs probably means "the right of return".
In return all Arab states offer normal diploma- tic relations including a peace deal that recognises ISRAELS RIGHT TO EXIST and secures its borders.
Now, as I stated in my earlier post, would I expect from Israel to "swallow" all the Arab conditions (especially on refugees)...???
Of course not.
But I expect from Israel, that if she gets an offer for peace and doesn`t like parts of it, that she will at least make a counter proposal or draft an own Israeli peace plan.
Sorry, but everything else just looks extremely arrogant and only serves suspicions that Israel is not really interested into a just peace. |
