This is pretty simple, Harel.
There are these people called "terrorists", see? They aim to hurt Israelis.
There are these soldiers called "the IDF", see? Their job is to foil, arrest and even kill those terrorists.
Then there are these OTHER people called "protected persons", see? They are called that because THEY ARE NOT INVOLVED IN THE FIGHT BETWEEN THE TERRORISTS AND THE IDF.
So when an IDF soldier decides to hide behind a protected person then he is, indeed, involving that person in something that he has no right involving them in.
There is a name for that practice.
It is called "a crime", because it is illegal under Int`l Humanitarian Law.
Is that too hard to comprehend?
Then try this:
IDF Soldiers Don`t Like Going Into Houses Inside Occupied Territory?
Then don`t suggest they grab Pal civilians to use as shields.
Tell `em to grab a Israeli settler and hide behind HIM.
After all, he`s much more likely to be part of the f**king problem. |
