| Be it the question of "human shields", "collec- tive punishment", "targeted killings" (even of family members of wanted militants/terrorists), "use of lethal force against stone-throwing children/youths": Since quite some time now, a significant number of the Israeli public is defending and trying to find excuses for tactics that are regarded in most democratic societies of this world as simply appalling (to put it mildly...). Clear proof that the ongoing conflict with the Palestinians has taken a tremendous toll on Israels moral values. If the Israeli people knew, how much sympathy in the world they are (unnecessarly) giving away with this kind of stuff, they would stop it tomorrow. Guaranteed. |
