Haaretz unnecessarily encourages divisiveness in this editorial. The lesson of the Rabin assassination is that violence should not be used to accomplish political goals. The overwhelming majority of the Right has internalized this lesson--witness the relatively peaceful opposition to the (disastrous) Gush Katif withdrawal.
Haaretz is using the actions of one man to deny the legitimacy of a dissenting opinion in a democracy. This is intolerable! |
