| The truth is that the sanctions and the IAEA inspections have worked. Ahmedinijad has been forced to redefine "victory" in this conflict to be producing only 3-5% fuel grade enriched uranium. And the IAEA has very effectively stopped Iran from enriching to 90+% weapons grade uranium through inspections at Iran`s only mass-production level enrichment facility. Ahmedinijad`s been giving speech after speech over the last few months claiming this redefined "victory" in an attempt to step back from the conflict. No new questionable issues have been brought up recently that would suggest any secret nuke programs are going on, and all the old issues are all being cleared up one by one. The final cap on the diplomatic victory will be when Ahmedinijad is voted out of office in 2009 right behind Bush. Sadly, there are way too many people out there that are more interested in war than they are in victory. Even as the diplomatic path is succeeding, they want war instead. |
