Get real. Peace is a situation in which conflicts are resolved to the satisfaction of all participants, so that none is sufficiently aggrieved to engage in hostilities, or in which a party realizes that its grab for land or power is too costly to it.
The Israelis should read the insturctions that God gave them as they invaded the land of Canaan. The indecisiveness of Israelis, and their failure to employ sufficient force to accomplish their ends is the reason for conflict. If they expelled or exterminated their enemies, peace would result.
Peace is not a goal. It happens when conditions favor it. Searching for "peace" is a fool`s errand. |
