| The first, and unavoidable, step to realizing a shared basis is agreement to reconcile with documentation and logic instead of blind adherence to faith that contradicts both, whether the contradictions are pronounced by "Judaism," Christianity or Islam. That includes exposing displacement theology. I see the beginnings of a glimmer of this in Christianity (e.g. Hagee and an increasing number of scholars), but not at all in Islam. As for the barbarism of Gaza and Shomron Arabs, that is culturally and educationally indoctrinated, not genetic; and it is deliberate and calculated.
