First and foremost they all deserve some respect for working on the problems. Consider that maybe there is something that Rabbinate is privvy to that we are not.
My concerns are that symbolically this is shutting the gates. With the constitutional effort of Lieberman opening them back up again.
I would like to see the Sephardic anousim issue solved amongst the Orthodox Rabbinate. The bloods of Ladino crying Naci En Alamo are here in the Americas. One would have to go to Mexico and other countries to hear it tho, not just to NYC.
While I understand the plight of the Ultra Orthodox, as holders of the torch, they have my upmost respect; but I refuse to leave behind the rest of the Americas.
Can we not share the light without diminishing it? I think we can. |
