| Doesn`t Halacha make becoming a ger hard enough??? Becoming a ger takes time, and it is impossible to learn everything before you go to shamayim at 120. I`m saying this because I am a ger, and I have run into places in Halacha where I believed that I was doing things correctly, but then I was corrected by a local rabbi. The Chariedi Rabbis both in Israel and the US want Gerim to be able to go from having no background in Judaism, to keeping a strictly orthodox lifestyle in how long???? What will be the next requirement for gerim? Will they be told that they can only where certain kippot, eg black velvet, as opposed to others, eg Knitted |
