| There is no such thing in orthodox Judaism as "issuing a religious exemption" for desecrating the Sabbath. Unfortunately, as your journalist chose to use this woolly expression (possibly with his own hidden agenda?) rather than get to the bottom of the issue, we will never know what Rabbi Amar really agreed to. |
