| This Alexander Spira characters comment really summs up it all. The obvious problem is that his quote indicates that he does not understand the difference between a Jew living in America or Israel. In America you are a stranger and any attacks or hostilities are unfortunate but what do you want- this is history! America is not where Jews belong- no business being there anymore- go home to Israel where at least you have a reason to resist attacks. Why would a Jew live in America if it means being attacked and discriminated against? NO REASON in fact even without the discrimination and hate crimes there is no reason. It`s also comical how due to an attack on a middle aged Jew, members of the community are afraid this would "exacerbate long-standing tensions between ethnic groups in the town." This is to say that this attack would cause outrage amongst a non-violent shtele mentality of the American Jew. Yeah right- I am sure in response to this attack the 70k Jews in Lakewood will riot! |
