Thirdly, the AK launched attacks against the concentrated guards around the perimeter wall, and fought inside the ghetto, in order to supply weapons - which were in short supply all round. Fourthly, the AK spent much effort to notify both Britain and USA, and the allies decided to ignore all requests for assistance. Fifthly, AK officer Jan Karski was smuggled into the ghetto and then travelled to Washington and directly reported to Roosevelt in `42 incl. details of ghetto conditions and ongoing holocaust.
