His acknowledgment does not absolve the Polish nation of its duplicity during the occupation. He should have named the tens of thousands of Polish citizens that turned in Jews by the score to the Nazis.
Case in point when the Warsaw Ghetto Jews asked the AK for assistance during the uprising they gave them a few broken pistols. Then stood on the sidelines and did nothing as the ghetto fell. |
