| Objectively,Haredim have two strong points -- they have large families and they tend to remain in Israel. Israel needs more Jews and Israel needs fewer Jews who leave to live elsewhere. Although Israeli Haredim oppose the army and tend to `stay in learning` longer, Chutz leAretz Haredim are more inclined to go to work and be less opposed to the army. On balance this programme is a very good idea. |
