Relax everyone. Haredi kids can`t go on Taglit - there are all sorts of things that make these trips not appropriate. Many Taglit trips don`t observe the Sabbath, they spend time at dance clubs and there is no arrangements for daily prayers - and this is the tip of the iceberg.
One thing I can say - I am always saddened by the vicious anti-Haredi bias on the talkbacks here. they are often hate filled & have no connection to the truth. Like M. Franks-Lhermann below write....about conversion to being Orthodox??? what? these kids ARE orthodox.
A HAREDI philanthropist gave this money so HAREDI kids could participate. there is no effort to get other Jews to be Orthodox. what on earth are you talking about? |
