No wonder teachers are going on strike. When I left Israel 6 years ago I made 5000. shekels a month after taxes- that was with 22 years vetek. The fact that salaries haven`t gone up much - and that teachers are still the lowest paid professionals, goes to show how much respect there is for educators- zilch
