I can bet anyone that Grant will be out as head coach by Christmas. Abramovich has a coach in waiting in Guus Hiddink who is the coach of Russia at the moment. Abramovich is biding his time and waiting for the current European qualifications so when Russia fails to qualify, as expected, he will bounce and bring Hiddink to Chelsea. Hiddink is being paid by Abramovich to coach the Russian national team so once it becomes clear that Russia is not going to the European championship final next year he will quit and join Chelsea. As for Grant he will stay in Chelsea as some kind of advisor or director of football but he is definitely not the long term coach. Grant also lacks the necessary paper work to coach in England and the rumour has it that the players are not that keen on him. They think his coaching methods are sort of amateurish and he lacks the necessary charisma for a top coach...
