Such compassion and understanding of cycles of violence is always appreciated.
I would ask you and other folks distressed by violence against women and children to consider the evidence that alcohol presents far more dangers of violent abuse of women and children than cannabis does. And seriously consider the possibility that cannabis prohibition makes women and children less safe, not more, by denying people with alcohol problems the right to use a substance that would be much safer for them, and for those whose lives they will trash when under the influence of alcohol.
It`s really, really stupid to force mean drunks and pregnant women to use alcohol if they want a chemical high when a reasonable alternative is available with far less potential for provoking violence. |
