The best way to tackle mobsters is to take the responsibility from the police and use Shabak teams. Recently retired personnel are perfect. They have specialist surveillance expertise and equipment and can take years if need be to build a watertight case that will put the gangsters away for decades.
Presumably they will be completely unknown to the mobsters and much harder to corrupt or subvert.
Organised crime can be regarded as a genuine threat to national security and should be tackled with the utmost ruthlessness. |
