| Maybe you should read things carefully. Of course Hiroshima and Nagasaky PUT AN END to war but the survey speaks of PREVENTING a war with a bomb, not stopping it, which is different. This is an allusion to the idea of NUCLEAR DETERRENCE, something that did not exist during WWII. The decision to bomb Hiroshima and Nagasaki were made in a pre-nuclear world, and they opened the era of nuclear deterrence. But it seems to complicated for you. |
