It is an interesting survey, but I find the ideas of many Israeli a bit strange.
"About half of the Israeli respondents who back using nuclear weapons said they saw it as a possible way of preventing war; the other half said they supported using nuclear arms during a war."
If you USE nuclear weapons, you cannot say you PREVENT a war, because you actually make a war. This answer is confusing, it shows that many Isreali don`t really accept what nuclear deterence is. Its principle is that you OWN nuclear weapons not to use them actually , but to prevent an attack. |
