I do not have the exact figures, but I am sure that there are over one hundred thousand Jewish Texans. It is true that the Jewish population in the small Texas towns is shrinking, but in cities like Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin and Fort Worth, the Jewish population is growing. It is true that we can not compare our population figures with New York, but Texas has active Jewish communities which are well organized, and contribute to Jewish causes.
