I just moved to New York. I agree with you, there seems to be some excess surrounding the UN in NY. However, please dont forget the context. My impression of NYC is that it is the manifestation of excess. Nowhere else in the world can you find more psychic reading and manicure/padicure shops per capita. Thats just the tip of the iceberg!
