| to be justice,alongside of peace.In 1947 the UN(aka the colonial powers)partitioned historic Palestine,giving 44% land to the Palestinians& 56%land to the Jews who were a minority population of 33%.The Arabs rejected this Partition Plan(Res.181) because it violated their right to self determination,guaranteed by the League of Nations,which betrayed them and started up the Mandate,which ended in the Partition.Now,the just thing to do is not to go to the 67borders,which is based on the 1949 armistice line,which was a bilateral agreement between israel,egypt,lebanon,jordan,syria and was a temporary arrangement anyway.This armistice line took another big chunk out of Palestine and so the 67 borders means only 22% land for the Palestinians(Oslo).The just solution now is to go to the Partition Line,Jerusalem as capital,right of refugees to return. |
