| Yahn there is no complicated issue here re: right of return and Judaism. There is no legal significance to sects at present and in your case not even any issue of "Who is a Jew"--there are a series of guidelines that are accepted in Israel for who gets to come in under right of return`s expedited citizenry--if you were "born Jewish" to two Jewish parents without history of formal non-Orthodox conversion in your family (doesn`t seem to be) there would be no problem for you to come to Israel even if you wanted to be secular or believe in the Halloween Pumpkin, be a Rabbinic scholar or play the harmonica performing Christmas carols for a living. |
