The Kabbalah Centre is intentionally not Jewish but universal.
Tho the Kabbalah Centre follows Orthodox Halakha (noncoercively), it sees itself as a Nonjewish movement, that invites all humans to utilize Kabbalistic meditations.
The main text of the Kabbalah Centre is the Zohar (per Ari and Ashlag), the Tanakh too per Zohar`s commentary.
While most in the Centre dont study Talmud, there are leaders and lay members who do who regulate halakha.
Despite controversies about the Kabbalah Centre, the wisdom of Kabbalah is invaluable. Especially for the modern world.
Kabbalah communicates a spirituality that is philosophically compelling, ethical, and humanistic, seeing humans as the lamp of God`s light in this universe.
Kabbalistic texts are difficult (and you need to learn from someone who already understands how to engage them), but if you have any interest, explore them. You wont be disappointed. |
