During my visits to Israel I always wonder why people neglect their dogs (most of them are kept for guarding their homes, kept in small spaces on a short chain and in the soaring heat). Cats have no value at all in Israel, they live in and near the garbage bins, so sad.
Donkeys have a difficult life too with the arab population in Israel and territories. They are used to do hard work in the heat, and then at night are kept near the main roads where they get hit in the dark (the unlucky ones survive without any medical attention) by cars and busses. Israel is not a place to be for animals.
