Eye for an Eye, tooth for a tooth means:
Revenge should not exceed the right proportion to the harm done...This means, in today`s German law: The attacker will be charged with grievous bodily harm and attempted murder and will be put into jail for some decades...that`s it. We will not react out of proportion and ram a plane into some crowded Mosque as revenge for this attack. We will not slaughter as many innocent people as possible just because they are related by their faith to this cursed, wretched creature who cowardly attempted to murder an innocent citizen. |
