| Trees that aren`t old also need protection. The city and it`s contractors give any cheap laborer a pruner and a saw and send them to mangle the trees. They leave jagged edges, torn bark,and poorly shaped trees. The damage that is done to the poor palms is indescribable. The cut almost all of their healthy green leaves leaving only a few to malnourished the skinny sick palm. Gardening is treated in the army a a punishment and as unskillled work by the municipality. It deserves more respect. |
