| Jake, if you read the New Testament, you will find that Jesus cures a Canaanite woman. In the Acts of the Apostles 2:12, the people inhabiting Jerusalem include Arabians. I can understand your need to be Judeocentric, but the area known as Canaan/Palestine was and is inhabited by variious groups. Herod was the son of Antipater, an Idumaean. The Idumaeans had been forcibly converted to Judaism by John Hyrcanes. Herod`s mother, Cypros, was a Nabataean princess. The Nabataeans are an Arabic tribe. Their city, Petra, has been named one of the seven wonders of the world in the new list which came out in July. By the way, Jerusalem was taken away by the Israelites, then taken by other conquerors, then taken away again by modern Israelis. How about giving it back to the last owners? |
